Designed to integrate seamlessly into the existing campus, this facility features a 30kW solar photovoltaic system and a ‘cool’ roof, making it Pinellas County’s most energy-efficient building upon completion, with over 35% of its energy from solar. In 2010, its monthly energy bills averaged less than $200. The Service Center Building, designed by Klar & Klar and constructed by Bradley Construction, earned HEP the Business Beautification Recognition Award from the City of Clearwater and the Clearwater Regional Chamber of Commerce, highlighting significant property improvements and contributions to the community’s sense of place.
