9/11 Memorial
Description
Klar and Klar Architects, together with Palm Harbor Fire Station #65, created a memorial for the victims of 9/11. Two stone pillars designed to mimic the Twin Towers suspend an original piece of steel uncovered from the remains. The design incorporates a reflection pond around the perimeter with an eternal flame in the center. The four granite monuments along the edges memorialize the lives lost in each of the downed planes.
